Who we are
Awj is a non-profit entity, formed through the integration of respected organisations — active since 2010 — working in solution design, consulting, innovation and capability building within a community context.
In Awj our capabilities and distinctive talents came together with our seasoned expertise across sectors and domains, forming a house of expertise that meets clients' needs with integrated, systemic solutions and raises the communities it works with to their peak of flourishing.
How do we design our solutions?
Awj follows a community-centred design approach, one that treats the community as a partner in designing and making solutions, not merely a recipient of them. This approach draws on local knowledge, community participation, participatory design and continuous experimentation, to build social solutions more closely tied to the local context and more capable of achieving sustainable impact.

These achievements rest on advanced experience in leadership and strategy design, an ability to read data and draw sound insight from it, and a long track record in building individual, institutional and community capability, in delivering and managing field projects, and in launching major initiatives and events.
